Points to Ponder: October 29, 2017
When I am in the awareness that I am a soul, then I am automatically in the awareness that I belong to God. Just like I am a mother to my child, so when I am a mother, I remember my child. Similarly, when I am a soul, I am automatically in the awareness of the Supreme soul. I remember that I am God’s child. We have sung prayers for God saying you are my mother, father, friend, brother, teacher. So I stay in the realisation that I am in all relationships with God. It is said that company colours. When I am the companion of God, sharing all relationships with Him, then I am also full of His qualities. It is said, you draw the qualities of the one who you remember. For example, if I constantly think about the one who I hate, I become hateful. So staying in the remembrance of God makes me loveful, peaceful and blissful as God is the Ocean of these qualities.
Now, when I engage with the world in this awareness, all around, I see not bodies, not religious, cultural, racial or other differences but souls. I do not see people as rich and poor, educated and uneducated, similar and dissimilar. What I see is souls. I share a fraternal relationship with them as we are children of one God. Hindus and Muslims cannot be brothers. As, the moment we say, I am a hindu and the other one is a muslim, we are different and differences are difficult to reconcile. The moment I understand I am a soul and the other one too, the difference disapears. I feel one with everyone. Brothers to each other. And then what flows to the universe is unbounded love and what comes back is eternal joy.
