I once heard a story where a person was granted three wishes. The person was overjoyed at this opportunity. However, every time he made a wish, he forgot to spell out some aspect clearly and as a result, although what he got corresponded to what he wished, it never made him happy. For example, when he wished health, he forgot to mention wealth and relationships. When he mentioned having a beautiful wife, he forgot to mention that she should also love him and so he found a wife who was beautiful but cheated upon him. Similarly, when he wished for wealth, he did not mention that the wealth should come from legal sources and hence ended up in legal trouble. This story made me think that wishing is an art. Like a great personality remarked, ” “Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!”

These days, there is a lot of awareness about the power of the subconscious mind. We all know that what we think about and desire deeply is materialising. That notwithstanding, no one teaches us what to think. The art of making right wishes is an art not many people have mastered. People will tell you how to attract phenomenon in your life but what to attract still remains unsolved. For example, people today are using the power of the sub conscious mind to attract wealth or people that matter into their life. But in my opinion, that is like watering selected leaves in the tree of life while the rest of the tree remains unwatered and slowly withers. Instead, if we could water the roots, the whole tree would flourish. The root is the soul. The perfect wish to make is to have a peaceful and pure soul. Such a soul is capable of the powers of  discernment and decision making. When decisions are good, good consequences follow. Such a soul is also capable of the powers of tolerance and adjustment. These powers ensure harmonious relationships. Such souls have pure hearts that attract all the goodness in the world. Have a bountiful day ahead!
